STEP 1: Check the Page Template

Go to:
Online Store → Pages → [New Page You Just Created]

1. Scroll to the bottom of the editor

2. Find the dropdown called "Theme template"

3. If it says:

   • page.faq → ⚠️ This is your issue!

   • Change it to: page or default or page.standard (whatever your theme shows as a general/default template)

4. Click Save

✅ That will break the link to the FAQ layout and let the new page render independently.
